French designers redecorated the Huajiangtang Hotel based on Dai's old house and their understanding of Chinese culture. The redecoration designs were themed around the four seasons of the year and the 24 Chinese solar terms. The designers also combined elegant French elements and contemporary artwork to create an attractive and eye-opening hotel.

It took French design company Dariel Studio half a year to restore and redecorate the hotel. They unified the ground height, reinforced the main girder and overall framework, repaired doors and windows, and re-divided the structure. Vertical space was ingeniously utilized to transform the old building into a fancy hotel with 20 guest rooms.
