Baotou greenway is separated into a 1.5 meter-wide pedestrian lane and a 3 meter- wide cycle lane.

Benches and bus stations have been installed every 500 meters along the greenway. The pedestrian route is just meters away from bus lanes, making it a convenient route for local residents.

The design of the urban greenway has been thoughtfully considered, incorporating a comprehensive transportation system applicable to both rapid and slow traffic. It functions as a leisure, recreation, sightseeing and fitness hub.
