Low price Jining-Tongliao train route benefits locals

Train 6041 shuttles from Jining to Tongliao servicing 82 railway stops, with a round-trip taking nearly 46 hours. Over two decades the ticket fare has never been raised, a minimum fare cost of only 2.5 yuan ($0.36).

Traveling 997 kilometers, the train is the only one heated by coal-fired boilers along the Jining-Tongliao railway sector.

Due to its low price and multiple stops, the train is a convenience to local residents, particularly those living in impoverished areas.
