Nanhaizi Scenic Area

Nanhaizi, named after Nanhai Lake, is a 3A-class scenic area. It is located in the southern suburbs of Donghe District with an area of 2,000 hectares, of which 480 hectares are water. There are mountains to the north and the Yellow River lies to the south.
The lake water is very green, with thick bulrushes. There is a maritime activity area, a lakeside tourist zone and an island fishing village in the district.
High-speed train debuts in Inner Mongolia
A bullet train departed Hohhot East Railway Station for Ulanqab marking the start of high-speed rail services using Inner Mongolia’s first newly-laid high-speed railway on Aug 3.
