Moon Lake is situated in the hinterland of Tenggeli Desert, Alxa League; it is 70 kilometers southwest of Bayanhaote Town. Moon Lake is a beautiful and magic natural freshwater lake. With an area of three sq km, the lake resembles the shape of a map of China.
The scenic spot is a distinctive desert expeditionary and tourist area in the west of Inner Mongolia. There are a group of luxury Mongolian tents, European-style villas, and a comprehensive entertainment city with wooden corridors. The scenic spot can also offer boarding services.
Main entertainment facilities include: surfing in the sea of sand on a cross-country truck, jeep and motorcycle and carting, sand surfing, swimming, riding horses and camels, black sand health care and sand volleyball and football.
High-speed train debuts in Inner Mongolia
A bullet train departed Hohhot East Railway Station for Ulanqab marking the start of high-speed rail services using Inner Mongolia’s first newly-laid high-speed railway on Aug 3.
