CGGC supports Ecuadorian cultural and educational causes

On April 23 the Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador in China held a prize-awarding ceremony at the Instituto Cervantes de Pekin for the Third China National Spanish Essay Competition for College Students. As an outstanding representative of the Chinese-funded enterprises in Ecuador, CGGC provided all the prizes and awarded them to the winners of the competition.

Launched by the Ecuadorian Embassy in China, the National Spanish Essay Competition for College Students has been successfully held for three times. As one of the most influential events in the circle of Spanish education in China, the Competition has become a new channel for non-governmental exchanges between China and Latin America. The sponsorship of CGGC for the event is part of its consistent efforts to support the cultural and educational development and foreign exchange activities of the countries where CGGC undertakes construction projects, and is one of the ways in which the company performs its social responsibility.

Since entering into the Ecuadorian market, CGGC has built a reputable brand image through orderly site management, fast construction progress and outstanding engineering quality. Projects that are under construction such as the Paute-Sopra Dora Hydropower Station, and a few more that have been completed such as the Lu Maer – Mendes Highway and the Blue Mountain Tunnel, have greatly improved the local transportation conditions, energy supply and people's livelihood, making significant contributions to Ecuador's social and economic development and thus winning the praise of the wide public.
