CGGC and PLN sign contracting and investment agreement

As the representative of Chinese entrepreneurs, Nie Kai, the deputy general manager of CGGC accompanied Premier Wen Jiabao in the visit to Indonesia and signed the contracting and investment agreement with Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), the Indonesian government-owned electricity corporation.

 

Nie Kai signs the agreement with the president of PLN and exchanged contracts.

 

During his visit, Nie Kai met the governor of Sulawesi Barat province, the Vice- Minister of Development Planning, the Vice-Minister of Public Engeneering, the Vice-Minister of Communication, the president of PLN and other politicians. He talked with all parties on project contracting and investment business of CGGC in Indonesia market and held a symposium with representatives of Indonesian's large enterprises. The Indonesian government and Indonesian enterprises expressed their welcome to CGGC’s participation in project contracting and investment business in Indonesia.

Nie Kai said,"CGGC is willing to give full play to its advantages in financing, technology and management; and to strengthen the cooperation with Indonesian government in the area of infrustructure construction, such as power plants, dams, bridges and roads. CGGC hopes to push forward the operation of investment projects in power plants and mining industry so that it can play a positive role in boosting the development of Indonesia's economy and society."

On April 29, Nie Kai signed the EPC contract of Parit Baru Coal Fired Steam Power Plant on behalf of CGGC with the president of PLN, Dahlan Iskan, in witness of two countries' leaders. The contract amount was $172 million . Both parties also signed memorandum on investment project of KaLama River NO.1 hydropower station.
