The construction of a new financial back office and ‘data center ecological industrial park project’ broke ground on July 10.

The financial back office and data center ecological industrial park project, invested by Global Data Solutions Limited (GDS), is another high-end financial service outsourcing project that HISBP introduced.

The project will be completed in two phases, with a 1500 mu building area in total and 12 billion yuan investment.

The first phase is planned to be a pilot data center, with about 20,000 square meters building area and 800 million yuan investment. It is expected to operate from October 2010.

The second phase is planned to be an ecological industrial park. It is scheduled to start construction in December 2009, completed and put into use in stages, and fully finished in December 2014.

Its annual profits are expected to over 8 billion yuan.

The financial back office and data center industrial park largely aims to supply outsourcing services of data center, R&D center, call center, and office supporting facilities to large-scale enterprises in the financial, e-commerce, service outsourcing, telecom, and logistics production sectors.

Upon completion, the project will be a large-scale, complete and internationally first-class industrial park focusing on data center – that cultivates an ecological chain for service outsourcing industry, realizes coordinated and sustained development, undertaking international data center service outsourcing business, and stimulate all-round economic growth and recycling development of service outsourcing industry in Kunshan region.

Managing Vice Mayor of Suzhou City Cao Fulong, Managing Vice Mayor of Kunshan City Zhou Xuerong and Director of the Managing Committee of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone Ren Xueyuan attended the breaking ground ceremony.

Cao welcomed GDS’s settlement into Huaqiao. He spoke highly of Huaqiao’s efforts in introducing a group of leading service enterprises in two and three years and aimed at building a technological, modern, ecological and living friendly business city.
