The bonded zone (digital valley) of Guian New Area has reached an industrial output valued at 17.52 billion yuan in the first nine months of 2018, representing a year-on-year growth of 89.82 percent.
The bonded zone has hit a record in the first three quarters of this year: the export and import volume came to $1.92 billion, up by 55.25 percent since last year. Tax revenue stood at 3.1 billion yuan, rising by 21.49 percent year-on-year. The zone also attracted and received investments amounting to 4.28 billion yuan. Big data service industry operating revenue reached 8.26 billion yuan and the employment growth increased by 2,500 individuals.
Major projects built in Guian New Area have taken effect. The Apple iCloud China (Guian) data center has been approved and the flat field design is finished. China Mobile (Guizhou) data center has established the second phase of its major project and the machine room is expected to be finished by the end of this year. The second phase of China Telecom computing center construction is underway and Tencent Guian seven-star digital center has accomplished 90 percent of its tunnel excavation.
