Hechi had invested 727.49 million yuan ($110.79 million) in ordinary highway projects as of March 14 this year, accounting for 122.68 percent of the city's first quarter target which stood at 593 million yuan.

The city's completion rate ranks first in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Investment in the construction of national and provincial trunk roads made by Hechi had reached 181.12 million yuan by March 14, accounting for 111.12 percent of its responsibility target, and the completion rate ranked fourth in the region.

In addition, investment in rural road construction was 546.37 million yuan, accounting for 127.6 percent of the responsibility target, and the completion rate ranked first in the region.

The Hechi transport bureau has attached great importance to those projects with a lower investment completion rate, and has helped them to resume work and production since mid-February.

Hechi will continuously accelerate the construction of major projects such as expressways and high-speed railways, strive to exceed its annual target of 26 billion yuan in investment, and provide more extensive support for the high-quality development of the city's economy.
