On April 27, 2016, Mr. Chen Xiaohua, Vice President of CGGC and Chairman of CGGC International, met with Juan Aranguren, Minister of Energy and Mining of Argentina, in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires. Both parties held friendly talks in achievement of substantial progress about the President Nestor Kirchner and Governor Jorge Cepernic Project (NK/JC Project) and their future cooperation in the field of energy infrastructure construction.
Mr. Chen introduced to Minister Aranguren CGGC's comprehensive strength, international operation accomplishments and concept of cooperative development, grateful for the Minister's support and understanding towards NK/JC Project. As Chen said, NK/JC Project is paid high attention by both governments and financial and insurance organizations due to its significance in Sino-Argentina cooperation. CGGC intends to actively cooperate with the owner to carry out all of work in adherence to the original contract spirit. In accordance with the requirement of Argentine Government and Ministry of Energy, CGGC will proceed positively with NK/JC Project and give full play to the technological and managerial capability in its aggressive pursuit to build this project to be a demonstration project in the cooperation between the two governments.
Minister Aranguren believed in CGGC's overall power and was willing to continue to enhance NK/JC Project construction for the long-term cooperation between the two nations. He and Chen exchanged honest opinions about the advancing of NK/JC Project cooperation, affirmed negotiations on the modification of the project contract, reached an agreement on main issues such as engineering content, contract period and contract price, and defined the target and plan for the key emphasis in next-stage work. In addition, they made a thorough communication and agreed with each other about the cooperation in the field of energy infrastructure.
The above meeting was also attended by responsible people of CGGC International, CGGC No.1 Engineering Company and NK/JC Project joint venture.
