Liu Ming, another visiting CAS academician, held the same view on the city's great environment as Wu.

"I have stayed here for a whole week, and the city’s good environment, clean air and hospitality left me with a deep impression. I can't say it isn't a wonderful place to live in," said Liu.

During their week-long tour, Hu Wenrui, CAS academician and physicist, delivered a speech to over 400 middle and primary students in the city.

Themed on aeronautics, the speech increased the participating youngsters'knowledge of space.

"I knew little things about outer space before, and learned a lot more from the lecture and am inspired to explore more into the industry,"said Lei Sutin, a freshman senior high school student.
