Sponsored by the Fujian government and aided by the Putian government, the 14th provincial sports meeting was launched on October 23rd at the Putian Sports Center in Fujian province.

At exactly eight o’clock in the evening, delegations selected from various major cities and important walks of life marched into Putian Sports Center to participate in this grand event. The delegation from Jinmen was the first present at the gathering. Sun Chunlan, the general secretary of Fujian municipality, declared its opening, gave a speech and greeted the athletes, coaches and referees together with all those who offered their support and aid to this grand and fabulous event.

The opening ceremony consisted of 5 chapters, and began after Sun’s speech, showing the spectacular and fantastic views of Fujian province. 9,000 people’s participation presented a good performance to the audience of this ceremony.

This game, running from Oct. 23rd to 30th is the biggest one ever in terms of its scale and number of participants, including athletes, coaches and workers and staff.
