The international yacht exhibition in China, the first of its kind within Chinese borders, is going to be held in Fuzhou on September 20th. This event, scheduled to last 5 days is sponsored by the China Communications and Transportation Association, China National Automotive Industry International Corp, and Fuzhou government and the commercial committee of Fujian province.

Covering 11,000 square meters, the exhibition area is split into two main parts: the indoor area and outdoor one. The outdoor part provides 38 parking lots for the yachts and at the time when the exhibition is held, all the world-class yachts will gather there, such as Azimut-Benetti, Beneteau and so on.

“It’s quite right to develop the yacht industry in Fuzhou, for it has incomparable conditions in terms of economy, culture, geography and so on” according to Lin Jiaping, the director of Fuzhou business service section. “Fuzhou enjoys a long coastline and has lots of bays which provide the yachts very good places to park and Fuzhou’s shipping history is steeped in history. The first-ever official school to teach shipping in the Qing Dynasty,and the first seaplane in China are both the examples showing Fuzhou's capacity to develop and sustain a yacht-building industry in Fuzhou.

In the near future, Fuzhou will have its unique and characterized yacht industry which is sure to go flying in Fuzhou’s economy.
