A delegation led by Wang Shoujun, president of the state-owned China Nuclear Engineering Group Co visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ), Fujian province, on Dec 1 with the aim?of promoting mutual cooperation on clean energy projects.

Xu Weize, director of PCPZ's administrative committee welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the zone's opening up and development. Xu said that Pingtan enjoys preferential policies due to its free trade zone status. It also has moved ahead in industrial development, cross-Straits cooperation, and infrastructure and city construction.

The director of PCPZ also expected that China Nuclear Engineering Group will cooperate with Pingtan and help promote the county's development.

Wang Shoujun said that they had a better understanding about Pingtan's favorable policies after this tour and hoped that they could work together on projects such as sea water desalination and clean energy.
