The Haixia Olympic Sports Center in Fuzhou, Fujian province. The center consists of a main stadium and three venues (a tennis hall, a natatorium and a state-of-the-art arena) connected by elevated passages. The opening ceremony of the first National Youth Games (NYG) will be held at the stadium on Oct 18. The NYG is the largest sports meeting ever in Fujian, with more than 7,300 young athletes from 80-plus cities competing from Oct 18 to 27. Over 300 sports events will be held in all nine prefecture-level cities and the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, with Fuzhou staging more that 60 percent of them. [Photo/Xinhua]
