In order to make prospective students, current students, alumni, their families and other stakeholders further know about Shanghai University MBA Center and its MBA projects, Shanghai University MBA Center Open Day was held in the Third Teaching Building of Yan Chang campus in March 15, 2009.

The Open Day morning was divided into two parts. The first part was demonstration and communication. Through roll standers and posters, candidates, current students and alumni got to know unique management structure of Shanghai University MBA Center, Global Local MBA project, Global Finance MBA project concept and special courses, etc. They could also visit Project Management Office, Academic Administration Office and display classrooms of Career Development Center as well as share experience with current MBA students to know the staff and career model. The second part was introduction and lectures held in the fifth floor auditorium of the No.3 Teaching Building. All the visitors were welcomed by Professor Changgang Guo, director of Shanghai University graduate school, Tony, director of MBA Center and Dr. Paul Shen, Academic Supervisor of GLMBA Project. Tony gave a brief introduction of the development of Shanghai University MBA Center, Global Local MBA project and Global Finance MBA project. After introduction, Mr. Frederick Dubee, Senior Advisor of the United Nations Global Compact, gave visitors a lecture” Global Leadership under Financial Crisis”. He shared his own rich experience with them and mentioned that current business model were faced with enormous changes which required prospective leaders not only capable, but also had social responsibility, in other words, they should take the initiative repay the society and keep an eye on the topic of global environment.

When finishing the activity, visitors regarded it a rewarding day; especially some candidates knew Shanghai University MBA Center and its MBA project in advance, deciding to choose that project. Alumni also felt grateful that they could come back to their former university.
