Abstract: The realization of the revitalization of Northeast China in the new historical era concerns the five major securities and the overall development landscape of our national development. And it is a historical mission required by the times. To realize the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China, new strategic measures are needed to make it a new frontier for China’s opening-up. As the geographic center of Northeast Asia, Northeast China enjoys superior location and transportation advantages, relatively strong economic complementarity and a sound basis for people’s connectivity and exchange. However, the current trade and economic ties between Northeast China and Northeast Asian countries are still faced with many problems. For example, the aggregate trade volume is insufficient, the trade level is yet to be raised and the potential comparative advantages need to be brought into full play. Therefore, joint efforts are needed to optimize regional business environment by focusing on the improvement of policies that underpin openness, strengthening the connectivity of transportation infrastructure and enhancing the internal exchanges and coordination of Northeast China to further deepen its trade and economic exchanges with Northeast Asian countries so as to promote the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China with further openness.
