Abstract: As an important way to promote the peaceful city development, intelligent governance has brought into full play modern information technology to press ahead the smart integration and allocation of various urban resources, which helps to accurately serve the needs of urban public security, improve the efficiency and capacity of the public security department of the city government, and strengthen the collaborative governance capacity as regards urban public security. Putian city in Fujian province has established a new urban governance model with the big data and intelligent application at the core, actively created the Putian sample named Xueliang engineering big data strategy, and carried out positive explorations in improving the social governance pattern of joint construction, joint governance and sharing, and maintaining urban public security. In the future, with regard to peaceful city development, we need not only to consolidate the technological foundation of urban intelligent governance, but also need to constantly innovate intelligent governance concepts, promote data and information sharing, expand the application of intelligent governance, flesh out the cooperation mode between governments and enterprises, strengthen the training of professional personnel, so as to enhance the capacity and level of urban intelligent governance across the board.
