Abstract: As a product of organic whole between technology, demand and capital, online car-hailing is a new business format emerged in the context of a new round of sci-tech revolution and industrial transformation, and it is also a typical case of platform economy and sharing-economy. In just a few years, with the establishment of a brand new theoretical logic and a stable market pattern featured by profound changes in relevant industries, global online car-hailing market has entered a new development phase. Its development and evolution not only point to the practical industrial issue, but also offer an important clue for us to get to know precisely the progress of the new round of sci-tech revolution and industrial transformation. The enlightenments drawn from the above-mentioned analysis mainly include the following three points. First, we need to have a clear awareness of the swift development of the new round of sci-tech revolution and industrial transformation; second, attention needs to be paid to the urgent demand on the innovation of supervision management theories and practices induced by the profound changes in social and economic development, and the new round of sci-tech revolution and industrial transformation; third, the further development of carpooling will be an important model for China to expand its auto industry’s overseas presence.
