Li Wei, President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with Margrethe Vestager, who is currently serving as the European Commissioner for Competition, and her party on Mar 16.

They discussed China’s reforms of state-owned enterprises, excess capacity and the future of China’s economy.

DRC leaders Hou Yongzhi, Director-General of Department of Regional Economy and Development Strategy, Jiang Xiheng, Vice-Director-General of International Cooperation Department, and Chen Changsheng, Vice-Director-General of Department of Macroeconomic Research also attended the meeting.
