Abstract:

The development of Beijing auto industry development in the new era and the formulation of industrial policies will be restrained by some outside factors. While enjoying some favorable conditions, Beijing also faces some restraining factors and issues for its car industry development. The sharpening of car industry competitive edge rests on a bigger role played by the market. The government function hinges on creating favorable environment and policies for car industry development such as speeding up the restructuring and reorganizing of some state-owned component parts enterprises, the formulation of non-discriminative policies for the introduction of investment and the encouragement to enterprises to establish the mechanism for the joint development of general technology.
