On February 19th, Dr. Liu Shijin, Vice President of DRC, met with Mr. Christopher Wood, Managing Director of Equity Strategy and Mr. Andy Rothman, economist on Chinese macro-economy, from CLSA, a French investment bank headquartered in Hong Kong SAR. Dr. Liu briefed guests on the current price situation and monetary policies in China. The two sides exchanged views on the impact of the sub-prime mortgage crisis in the United States. Mr. Li Jianwei, Research Fellow of Research Department of Macroeconomics, Ms. Yu Jun, Deputy Division Director, and Mr. Zhang Hongfei, Program Officer, from DRC’s International Cooperation Department, were present at the meeting.
