The relic protection project of Xi'an Daming Palace was launched in October 2007, and it is a key project of relic protection in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. It has won recognition from UNESCO, the World Relics Protection Center, and State Cultural Relics Bureau.

The Daming Palace National Heritage Park occupies 3.5 sq.km, and its total investment is up to 12 billion yuan. The Palace includes six highlights - the relic structure composed of a palace wall, gate and centre shaft, ancient oriental building, micro architectural complex, archeological, scientific, entertainment, tourism relic center, relic introduction system and night scene of Daming Palace.
