Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand visited Xi'an Daming Palace Pavilion on July 21, 2010. She was deeply impressed by Tang culture.

During the visit, Princess Sirindhorn watched Tang Dynasty Dance and Music Show and a film called "Flying over Daming Palace". The film introduced Xi'an's culture and history to her. The film introduced the Qinling Mountains, Terracotta Warriors, Greater Wild Goose Pagoda, Qujiangchi and Xi’an Daming Palace National Heritage Park.

Princess Sirindhorn was deeply impressed by Tang antiques such as a gold-decorated censer and incense bag. She expressed her admiration for the breadth and depth of Chinese history and culture.

Sun Fuxi, deputy director of Xi'an Cultural Relics Bureau, introduced the development of Daming palace and Xi'an city to Princess Sirindhorn. He also invited Princess Sirindhorn to attend the opening ceremony of Xi’an Daming Palace National Heritage Park in October.

Princess Sirindhorn is the second daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. She likes Chinese culture very much. During recent years, she has paid many visits to China, both officially and privately. She has greatly contributed to the understanding and friendship between Thailand and China.

After the visit, Princess Sirindhorn wrote "Tang Feng Gu Yun"(literally means the ancient culture in Tang dynasty) and her name in Chinese with a calligraphy brush, and sent it to Daming Palace Pavilion.
