The interior decoration of Hefei South Station's North Square was started recently and is expected to open to the public in August with a brand new look.

According to the plan, Hefei South Station is equipped with two squares – the South Square and North Square. Between these two, facing the old city (North Longchuan Road), the North Square serves as the main hub for transport. The North Square has three layers. The ground floor is the place for transfers, bus drop-offs, the subway entry and exit, and shops. The basement is designated for high-speed train transfers and private car parking and the lower basement is for other vehicle parking.

Once introduced, upon its completion, the North Square will become the largest passenger transport hub in Heifei, where passengers can transfer to subway, bus, taxi and other vehicles.
