CNN discussed and elected the 40 most beautiful hot spots in China on its official website, presenting the winners in a series of pictures. Famous hot spots such as Mount Huang and Hong village in Anhui province, Jiu Zaigou, Potala Palace, Wuyi Mountain, Zhangjiajie and Huangguoshu Waterfall were included in the list.

CNN discussed and elected Mount Huang, measuring 1,863 meters high, for its "fantastic pines, grotesque rocks, sea of clouds and hot springs". Many Chinese are looking forward to visiting the mountain. CNN also featured Hong village, with a history of over 900 years, as "a place deeply loved by artists for generations". It is convinced that its ancient beautiful buildings, clean moon lake and surrounding picturesque views are a source of inspiration for artists.
