| Sea of Clouds at Xianyu Mountain |
Located in Ketian Township of Shitai county, Xianyu Mountain is 38 km from the county seat of Shitai. Inside the scenic area are five peaks each with an elevation of more than 1 000 meters, including Xianyujian Wangjiangjian, Wutanggang, Ruolijian^and Niaojitang. The Gold Cliff and Tiger Cliff are both extremely precipitous. Several dozen beautiful valleys and pits in the mountain are worth of visiting, such as the Great Xianyu Valley, and the Shili, Ganjue and Monk pits.
Xianyujian Mountain, the main peak, is an extension of Huangshan Mountain, with an elevation of 1,376 meters. It has the same natural views as those of Huangshan Mountain. The nwvelous spectacles include glorious sunrises and sunsets, the sea of clouds, and the light of Buddha which changes as time passes by. The Great Xianyu Canyon below the major peak is famous for its long and narrow shape, high drop and numerous stones and deep pools. Dashan Village in the scenic area is well-known in China for its soil which is richly endowed with selenium. It has become a comprehensive tourism and leisure resort featuring health tourism.
