Rime Island is famous for the white ice that that gives this particular place on the lower reaches of the Songhua River, 35 km from Jilin city, Jilin province, its name. When winter comes, especially when there is large amount of snowfall, freezing temperatures frequently generate winter scenes like this on the island.
