Flower Arrangement Festival of Chuxiong

Venue: Dayao County, Chuxiong Prefecture

8^th day of the second month by lunar calendar every year is the Flower Arrangement Festival of Yis, also renowned as Maying (Rhododendron) Festival. When the flowers are in full bloom all over on Tanhua Mountain of Dayao County, the people will gather on Tanhua Mountain from everywhere with mellow wine and delicacies, dressed up, with flowers in hand, singing love songs and dancing left-foot dance happily to extremely joyful. Tanhua Mountain becomes the sea of people, flowers, dancing and singing.
