          The boutique hotel Opposite House and luxury chocolatier Valrhona have teamed up to present a chocolate-themed afternoon tea at the hotel's Sureno restaurant through Feb 15.Priced at 158 yuan ($25.44) per set, the tea offerings include Dulcey Apricot Short Glass, Opalys Lemon Namelaka, P125 Chocolate and orange scones served with home-made chocolate spread, strawberry vanilla jam and organic acacia honey. 3 to 5 pm daily, Sureno at Opposite House, 11 Sanlitun Road, Chaoyang district; 010-6410-5240.

          Carnivore's Club with Yunnan flavor

          East Beijing hotel will kick of fits 2015 Carnivore's Club series with guest chef SueZhou's Yunnan spin on chicken. The Dutch-Chinese chef of HaniGejiu Yunnan Restaurant and food educator and the hotel's executive chef Rob Cunningham present a four-course dinner that begins with Yunnan chicken soup served with crispy noodles, quail egg and herbs.
