Forum faces the big questions

Nerd world conference spells end of the world as we know it

The Web portal Huanqiu.com recently celebrated the 5-year anniversary of its founding by hosting three forums on the issues it has been known for covering, such as international relations, military affairs and environmental protection. Attendees included Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei, major general of China's navy Zheng Ming, WWF China's CEO Peter Beaudoin, Low Carbon & Sustainability Atkins China associate Mark Hewlett, Geyou Foundation's vice-chairman Zhou Hang and US embassy spokesperson Nolan Barkhouse. The forum was followed by an award ceremony for six nonprofits, including WWF China, Doctors without Borders and Wardrobe of Love.
