Large Medium SmallA total of 164 choirs, consisting of more than 7,000 people, will participate in the 2012 Xinghai Prize International Choir Championships that takes place in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, from Nov 8 to 14.
A total of 91 choirs of 4,000 persons are from China, while the balance 73 choirs of 3,000 persons are from overseas.
They will take part in 25 choir competitions and six special choir concerts. The vocalists will also perform in local communities, squares, housing estates and campuses to promote choirs among local residents.
The event is jointly organized by Guangzhou city government and Interkultur.
