妙詞佳句，活學(xué)活用

1. enough
看似簡單的enough，實際上是在口語中使用頻率最高的詞匯之一。它的意思是"夠了"。比如："夠了，我不想再聽了。"就可以說："Enough, stop talking." 除此之外，enough還習(xí)慣和一些短語連用，比如：
A: That's easy enough to say( 說得容易).
B: Enough is enough( 夠了).
C: Sure enough（千真萬確）！

2. bestow
bestow的意思是"贈與；給與"。bestow charity和bestow an honor是經(jīng)常用到的。平常使用的時候，一定要注意要和以下幾個詞區(qū)分開來：
A: Give 是最平常、最普通、最口語化的"給"。比如：give me an apple。
B: Confer 雖然也有"給與"的意思，但這種"給"一般是有上下級的關(guān)系的時候才會使用。比如：Confer a college degree。
C: Donate 一般用做捐贈來講，比如：donate a great sum of money to the school。

3. fine prints
這是一個法律上的常用詞匯，意思是"意思不清的話"。比如在甲乙雙方簽訂合同的時候，有時我們會發(fā)現(xiàn)合同中出現(xiàn)一些模糊的條款。fine prints 指的就是這些條款。那么"很多人喜歡鉆法律的空子"，就可以說：Some businessmen always take advantage of the fine prints to make a fast buck.

4. That's final
意思是"好了，到此為止吧！"經(jīng)常是雙方發(fā)生口角或爭執(zhí)的時候用。如："別再說了，就這么定了。"就可直接說成"That's final."

5. hit traffic
很少會有學(xué)生把這個短語用的很好，因為在大家的腦子當(dāng)中有一個根深蒂固的短語：be in the traffic jam！即使已經(jīng)學(xué)過了很多遍的hit traffic，再塞車的時候，大家還會脫口而出："I'm in the traffic jam." 當(dāng)然這種表達(dá)是對的，但卻不是最口語化的。那么在看完這個片段之后，希望大家一定要記住這個非常地道的用法：hit traffic。除此之外，還可以用I'm stuck in the traffic來替換。

6. oops
很小的詞，意思是"啊呀"！。比如差點把郵件發(fā)錯了對象，這時就可以說："Oops, I almost sent the e-mail to the wrong guy."
