Here is a sampling of the many restaurants that will serve Thanksgiving dinners in China this month (reservations strongly advised), or offer takeaways you can enjoy at home or an office party. (Be sure to order in advance.)

The Schoolhouse at Mutianyu Great Wall

Menu highlights: Family-style servings of roast turkey and trimmings, cream of local mushroom soup, chestnut stuffing, persimmon pudding.

Menu highlights: Turkey with cornbread stuffing, honey-baked ham, sweet corn souffle, mashed potatoes with giblet gravy, apple or pumpkin pie.

It's a potluck that would make the original Pilgrims of Plymouth smile, a contemporary tradition from the team at the original Great Leap location. That kitchen provides deep-fried turkey, you bring a dish to share.

Menu highlights: Thanksgiving turkey platter to share with pine-nut and lemon stuffing, candied sweet potatoes, Dutch carrots, Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce and gravy.

Time and price: 380 yuan (quarter) birds, 680 yuan (half), and 1,280 yuan (whole). You can also order entire Thanksgiving dinner for home; 1,280 yuan for turkey/trimmings (6 kg plus for 8-10 people); pick-up only; order three days in advance.
