China's post-festival travel hits record peak

Two-hundred and ninety temporary trains were added as the number of trips made by railway passengers nationwide was estimated at 8.1 million, said the China Railway Corporation. On Sunday, 7.23 million trips were made on 4,725 trains in China, up 12.9 percent from last year, as people visited tourist attractions or went to their hometowns.
