Uma Thurman insists she has finally put her failed marriage to Ethan Hawke behind her.

The 'Pulp Fiction' actress filed for divorce in 2004 after rumours of Hawke's infidelity spread like wildfire.

Uma, who has two children, Maya and Levon, from her relationship with the actor, insists she is not bitter about the split and considers herself just another unlucky-in-love woman.

She told America's Parade magazine: "I'm just another American woman who was in an unfulfilled marriage that fell apart.

"I have so many great things happening, that to mope about the fact I was in a bad marriage is a waste of time. I'm remaking my life better than it was before. I'm telling myself that I'm entitled to step back into the world."

Uma, 36, also refuses to badmouth her ex-husband, because although she resents him he is still the father of her children.

She added: "I'm so sick and tired of talking about the difficult times. I'm dying to put it away. I cannot participate in anything critical about my children's father.

"I just need to keep peace. I think it's fair to say that I haven't said one mean thing, and I'm not going to start now. It's terrible for my family.

"As much as I've felt like giving up, I've just pushed through. I'm dying to quit all the time, but I just put one foot in front of the other."

Uma is about to star in a new film with Luke Wilson called 'My Super Ex-Girlfriend'.

She plays a jilted woman who discovers she has super powers and uses them to get revenge. (Source:BANG Media International)
