12月27日，在全國信息產(chǎn)業(yè)工作會議上，信產(chǎn)部部長王旭東表示，2006年世界電信展將在香港舉行，這是首次在日內(nèi)瓦以外的城市舉辦的電信展，他說，我們要支持香港特區(qū)政府，做好協(xié)調(diào)配合及服務(wù)工作，確保展會取得圓滿成功。
報(bào)道中有這樣一句話：After proceeding cautiously, the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) yesterday told domestic operators to be ready for therolloutof 3G (third generation) mobile telecoms services.
Rollout 這個(gè)詞意為"首次展示"，專門用來指種新產(chǎn)品的首次公開展覽，或新服務(wù)項(xiàng)目或新政策的開創(chuàng)。
比如：The manufacturer's rollout of the new jet is scheduled for next month.（那家飛機(jī)制造商生產(chǎn)的噴氣式飛機(jī)定于下月首次公開展出。）
