Beer is a beverage as old as civilization itself. From the valley of the Tigris-Euphrates to the mountains of Heilongjiang, this mixture of barley, yeast, hops, water and grains is consumed in almost every country in the world and enjoys an average annual worldwide consumption of over 100 billion liters.

 In China, the world's second-largest beer market, there are over 513 breweries. Here in Guangzhou, beer aficionados can quaff down a variety of brews from around the world. Here's a sampling.
