The fourth set then went on along a similar route as Guo Yue got five points in straight to lead 6-4 before wrapping up the set 11-8 to send the game into decider.

With the surprising exit of China, Hong Kong of China become the favorites to win the women's team title against the hosts South Korea after they pulled out a 3-0 win over Japan, led by talented teenager Fukuhara Ai.
