Celtic wants Nakamura, Du Wei

China defender Du Wei is likely to be asked to undergo a trial period before winning himself a move to Celtic.

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has been told of the 23-year-old's availability for about ￡800,000.

The 6ft 4 in Shanghai Shenhua centre-half would provide competition for Bobo Balde and Stan Varga.

Strachan had decided against pursuing former Portsmouth and West Ham defender Sebastien Schemmel after a trial spell.

But the former Southampton manager is anxious to bring players in before the Champions League signing deadline on Thursday.
