          Trade barrier investigation rules revised

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has confirmed that it's working on new ways to fight unfair trade barriers, imposed by foreign countries.

The government has revised temporary investigation rules, with a draft version currently being reviewed by various trade departments, and domestic foreign trade businesses. The revisions are based on specific rules, which took effect two years ago, as an emergency measure to cope with increasing trade barriers, established by foreign trade partners. These include the US, the EU and Japan.

The new rules are expected to better protect the interests of Chinese exporters, which are often victimized by unfair quotas and tariffs, imposed by foreign countries. This can be seen with the increasing frequency, of anti-dumping charges against Chinese exporters in recent years.
