The producers of the next Terminator film want
star Arnold Schwarzenegger to take a part in it - even though he is now
governor of California.
Talks are under way for Terminator 3 director Jonathan Mostow to return
for a further sequel in the
series which made Schwarzenegger a household
name.
"We're certainly talking to Arnold and his people," a spokesman for the
film's financers said.
A Schwarzenegger advisor ruled
out anything but a cameo
role.
Dennis Higgins, the spokesman for the film's financers, said Mostow was
overseeing the draft of a script by writers John Brancato and Michael
Ferris, who wrote Terminator 3's screenplay.
The Terminator series is one of the most successful film franchises
ever.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day grossed $500 million, while Terminator 3
took $427 million around the world.
But Schwarzenegger said he would put his film career on hold when he was elected governor
of California in November.
Paul Wachter, Schwarzenegger's personal financial advisor, refused to
rule out a cameo, but dismissed anything more than that.
He said: "Is it realistic that while he is in office, he takes a
starring role? Hardly."

但是施瓦辛格曾經表示，從去年11月當選為加州州長起，他將暫緩自己的電影事業。
施瓦辛格的私人理財顧問保羅·瓦赫特并沒有排除阿諾出演小配角的可能性，但他排除了任何更多可能性。
他說：“設想他一邊在辦公室工作，一邊還要擔任影片主角，這現實嗎？這幾乎不可能。”
