76ers' Iverson won't play Vs. Toronto
          ( 2003-11-19 11:28) (Agencies)

Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson will not play against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night because of an injured right knee.

Iverson, who banged his knee in the first quarter of Friday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs, did not travel with the team to Toronto. Instead, he stayed in Philadelphia to receive treatment.

Iverson struggled through the Sixers' 74-66 home loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday night, scoring a season-low 15 points on 4-for-19 shooting from the field.

After a driving layup with 5:12 left in the second quarter, Iverson did not hit another field goal until the nine-minute mark of the fourth quarter. He also turned the ball over a team-high five times.

"I just want to be smart about it," Iverson said after the game. "I don't think I was smart about going out there. I'm not making any excuses. I had shots that I know I could make. But as far as my push off, and me getting to the basket like I wanted to and creating things, I feel I was just moving like someone else. It wasn't me."

The Sixers were without forward Glenn Robinson (ankle) and center Derrick Coleman (knee) against Houston. Robinson also didn't make the trip to Toronto. Coleman is a gametime decision.

Aaron McKie will start for Iverson.
