If you travel to London, you will see red post boxes all over the city, it has become one of the landmark attractions in the UK. So why red? It is said that the first red mail boxes appeared on the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey to make them easy for sailors to see after reaching shore. The other reason is that due to rainy weather in the country red was used to prevent people from bumping into them while walking in the rain at night with umbrellas blocking their sight.[Photo/IC]
