Shakespeare was a literary figure who needs no introduction. He is an icon whose charm has appealed for hundreds of years. He is widely considered the most important writer in Europe's Renaissance era and the greatest writer in the English language world. He was a poet and a playwright. His works, including plays, sonnets and poems are still the subject of literary research and widely adapted to varied artistic forms (theater, movies, TV dramas) around the world in many languages.
