Korean master of animation seeks inspiration from Chinese writers

Talking about his creative methods, Ahn said animation filmmakers must take suggestions from their audience seriously, and refrain from expressing their own ideas.

Ahn Hyun Dong, chairman of the Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival, agreed with Ahn Jae Hoon’s opinion about animation creation, and added that the most important thing for filmmakers was to remember their original intention.

“No matter what the theme is, we should bring joy and happiness to the audience and let the story as well as the characters appeal to them.” he said.
