Many officials in Sichuan were arrested on corruption charges in 2014. As a businessman in Sichuan, I know them, of course, but I didn't do anything I shouldn't have, and neither did my colleagues. Since the start of the anti-graft crackdown, I have been invited to far fewer banquets, so I drink much less than before and feel much better physically.

The anti-graft movement has been very profound, and I could feel its power even in my remote mountain village. Even village heads are careful to obey the laws and regulations now, because they know the watchdog is not only watching the "tigers" but also the "flies". As the saying goes, "If you go to the battlefield to fight, you must ask your father to come with you so the deep love between you and your father will overcome all odds", meaning that when people encounter difficulties and challenges, they should unite and trust each other to cope. It's totally wrong for some officials to accept huge bribes to use their connections to help businesses and other concerns.
