Coal haulers in city: to warm the winter

Tian is from Qianhu Village in Xi’an. He has a family of three. Hauling coals to households has been his job for years.

He gets up at 8:00 in the morning and hurries to the coal factory after a brief breakfast. He said that if you did not arrive early, you had to wait long to buy the coal. It takes two hours for him to load 4000 pieces of honeycomb briquettes. Sometimes, he would have a simple lunch at small stalls. But in most of the days in winter, he is too busy to stop for a lunch.
