People who post slanderous comments online will be charged with defamation and face up to three years in prison if the statements are visited by more than 5,000 Internet users or forwarded more than 500 times, according to a judicial interpretation issued by the Supreme People's Court.

At least four people were killed and 14 others injured after an explosion ripped through a building in Guangzhou city around noon Tuesday, local police said.
